Our village of Tank

Our village is pothanegama. It is a big tank. It is on the village boundary. There was tank over Temple. There is hekteyar 100 tank. The bund  is good wide. it is a roadware. There is tank bellow astretch of paddy fields. there was paddy fields tank irrigate. there are many people bathe of tank. there are boys and girl  rest the bund. small children  like to the tank. They are swim the play. there  is upper catchment full of bushes.

My country

My  country is sri lanka. It is situated in Indian ocean. sri lanka is a beautiful country. Various races live in my country. Most of them are sihalese.our country is living  various religion people. they were sihala, Tamil, Muslim and many  people. colommbo is the capital of my country. Anuradapura is the first kingdom of my country. Foreigners admire beauty of my country. I love my country and I like to live it. 

Butterfly

butterfly is  an insect. It has four legs. It has no bones. Butterfly has no teeth. It has two pairs of wings. The wings of the butterfly are very beautiful. It is a colourful bird. There are eyes all  over the wings. Butterfly  is a harmless animal. It collects  nectar from flowers. that is  them food. Butterflies are multy coloured. They look like flowers. Butterflies are becoming less  and less in number in every year. They are extincting insects. we must protect those harmless beautiful butterflies. Moths are often mistaken to be butterflies. 

My Cat

My pet is a cat. she is black and yellow. she is fat. she has a beautiful body and a tail. she is four years old. she likes to drink milk. she likes to eat fish. she sleep on a chair and bed. Her name is “Kittie”. Kittie likes to play with my ball. The cat is very playful. she says “Meow”. Kittie catches rats. It can see in the night. The cat loves us. We love it too. cats are beautiful animals. In our country cats live in houses. In some countries, cats live in largefamilies in streets.

MY Best friend

I  have  lot  of  friends. But  Maneesha  is  very  special. Because  she  is  a  friend  in need Maneesha  is  my best  friend.                                                            Maneesha  is  a  student  in  grade  nine  in  Nikawewa  central  collage.  she  is  pothanegama  in  my  village.  Maneesha’s  father  name  is  M:r  Bandaranayaka. He  is  a  farmer. Maneesha’s  mother  name  is  Mrs: Premalatha.  she  is  a  housewife.  Maneesha  has  one  brother  and  one sister.           Maneesha  is  very  clever  of  studies  her  favourite  subject  is  Tamil.  she  takes  the  highest  marks  for  tamil  in  every   exam. her  age  is  13  years  old.  she  go  to  school  by  bus.her   hobby  is  reading  story  books.  her  favourite  game  is  Netball.  she  like  to  eat  ice-cream. her  favourite  colour  is  pink. her  favourite  person  is  brother.  her  friend  is  amali.  she  like  to  be  a  doctor.  Maneesha  is  very  helpful.  As well  as  kind in  most  of  the  time  maneesha  is  with  me.  so  she  is  a  friend  in  deed. 

How to grow corns

The first step of cultivating corn is weeding in the land of growing. Then till and Arrange the soil before seeding.It will take 8-9 days to plants to come out from the soil. Then take a rope of about tifty teets and lines it for seeding. keep one feet gap between two lines. Then put one seed for each pit.spray weedicide before two days of seeding. Then add suitable fertilizer -20gm for each plants. After 20 days of putting fertilizer collect soil arround plants. Then put a little amound of Kureta to avoid insepti side effects. After that add Uria fertilizer as in earliar quatity.

corns should be arotected from birds till harvesting. After 3 – 4 months we can start harvesting.

Museums play a silent but a very dominant role to maintain the culture and civilisation of mankind. A national museum may bedefined as a central institution which imparts knowledge of the past to those living in the present. A national museum serves as a repository for the collection, exhibition and study of objects of artistic, scientific, historial and eduational value too. It eduates the people and stimulates their interest in their national heritage’ It also attracts the attention of growing young minds to the glorious riches of the past. presently

only a very few have cultivated the habit of visiting museums. Therefore it is timely that mass media strive hard to focus the importance of national museums in the cultural life of the nation, Especially the younger generation should be made to understand the values of museums even though we are living in the computer age today.

The Internet web

There is hardly a child in colombo who has not heard of the Internet web. Raido and Tv programmes operating here have done much to popularise it across the country. the origins of the Internet web have been military. In fact the Internet was developed during the cold war period.                                                                                                                                                                                                               The uses of the Internet today are many. E-mail or Electronic mail is the most useful thing about the Internet. E-mail enables us to communicate easily with friends, relatives and colleagues abroad. it takes one short telephone call to the provider in the morning to receive mail.                                                                                                                                                                    For a family with a computer and telephone line,the additional cost for E-mail facility is trivial. E-mail services are being available for Rs:250 a month approximately.

My school

I  am  a  student  of  Nikawewa  dewanampiyathissa   central   collage.  It  is  situated  in  the  city  of  Kurunegala.  my  school  in  Kurunegala   educational  zone.            There   are  60  teachers   and   900  students  in  my  school.  As  it  is  a  mixed  school  girls  and  boys  study  in  all   classes.  we  have  many  educational  facilities  such.  as  a  play ground  a  laboratory  a  libray   and  I.t  center  etc.  O/L  and   A/L  classes  are  avilable  in  the  school.  A/L  students  can  study  in  any  streams  every  year  students   of  my  school  receive  good  result  Mr: Disanayaka  is  the  present  principal  and  leads  and  school  well  my  wish is  becoming   my   school  the  best  in  country.    

My family

There are four members in my family, father,mother,one brother and myself. my father is busnessman. my mother is house wife. my brothers go to school. He 12 grade. I am in grade 8. I am very good in mathes. father is very strict. He keeps discipline in the family. we are a united and happy family. we live peacefully. we respect our father, mother and elders. our neighbors like us. we all love our neighbors
